Boondoggle are fun way to keep anyone busy when you don't have anything else better to do. I remember when I was in school, I used to see kids make and sell rexlace to other students. Rexlace are colorful plastic strands that you make various designs and can hook on to your keychain, book bags, pens, necklaces and the outragous part is on shoes. Rexlace are flat and durable then craft lace which are round but don't last long. Rexlace are made of vinyl cord.
You make various design with the rexlace my favorite is the box style because I only know that particular design but mostly everyone starts off with the box style. You can start with a lanyard hook for beginner's or you simply for got how you do lanyard's and Plus it's much easier to start off with.
Keychain Lanyard are also know as rexlace,craft lace or boondoggle. If you type it on the search engine you may find it as Rexlace most likely. What ever you call or name it! It's still lanyard to me and most kid's or adults still remember it as lanyard. But I remember the teachers had rexlaces in spools. Spools come in 10, 50, 100 yards.
Many remember playing lanyard when going to summer camp's. It's most popular for activities hours when teachers let students out in the playground for lunch.
